Actions speak louder than words and the ACUA is committing to making overdue changes to our organization. This travel award provides support in the amount of $1,000 (USD) for to a student currently studying maritime archaeology or a related field who is presenting a paper or poster on an underwater or maritime archaeology topic at the annual Society for Historical and Underwater Archaeology conference. The goal of this travel award is to increase student participation, encourage involvement, and provide an opportunity for networking at the meetings.

The ACUA is very pleased to announce that beginning with the 2023 awards RECON Offshore will be a co-sponsor and contribute annually to support this important student award. The award is renamed the ACUA & RECON Offshore Student Travel Award.
